Ok, all was working well as far as my iTunes Sync on my PC running Windows XP and Calendar / Contacts / Notes in Outlook 2003 on my PC and on my iPhone 4. That was until today!!! 😦 When Calendar Sync stopped working!!! 😦 😦 😦
After a 30 minute call to Apple Support (UK) on 0844 208 0611 and me (on my own) going through a series of checks from an Apple email and subsequent Apple web site link; it came to the last fix, having tried all other fixes……………. Yipee! 🙂 🙂 🙂 it worked. Thank goodness for that!
“Thank you, Jason, from Apple Support”.
By chance, I’ve discovered a very nice feature of intellient recognition of a calendar event recieved in an email. I noticed that the text “at 7.30 – Saturday 9th October” was underlined in blue! Emm! what’s this I thought…. so I tapped on the underlined link and was amazed that it then prompted me for “Create event?”, when I tapped ‘create event’, a new calendar entry opened with ‘Birthday Invite’ (taking this from the subject of the email) as the event title and of course on Sat 9th and at 7.30.
I’d actually, already manually entered this event into my calendar, but will certainly look out for such underlings in the future! 🙂
